Here is a classic US trilobite. This is Huntoniatonia (Huntonia) oklahomae from the Lower Devonian. This specimen was acquired from the Eugene Thomas Collection. This species of Huntonia has a snout projection and a caudal spine - both are beautifully displayed on this specimen. This trilobite is prone, and both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The large bug is somewhat weathered on the left side, but it displays well. The fossil is well showcased on the block of limestone that also contains a composited enrolled Reedops deckeri. This is a nice display example of a classic Huntonia and Reedops from the Haragan Formation.
