Here is a beautiful example of a classic Canadian trilobite. This is Ogygopsis klotzi from the Cambrian of BC, Canada. This wonderful specimen was found DECADES ago and was acquired from a MAJOR trilobite collection. This specimen is from the trilobite locality that is right next to the famous Burgess Shale, and is of the same age. This detailed trilobite is complete - both free cheeks are tightly attached (very rare!). The fossil contrasts very well with the grey matrix that contains trilobite parts and partials on both sides of the plate. And, best of all, the shell of the trilobite is still intact!. This is a very collectible BC trilobite that has been in a collection for years.
