This is a nice plate of Middle Devonian trilobites from New York. This specimen was found many years ago at the famous Penn-Dixie Quarry, and has been in the Eugene Thomas Collection ever since. There are three nice examples of Eldredgeops on the plate. The larger, prone trilobite is complete with the tail present, but curled. The bugs are inflated and exhibit fine detail. The individual facets of the eyes and the pustulose glabellas are extremely well preserved. The fossils are nicely showcased on the large matrix plate that also includes a brachiopod. This is a very hard-to-find multiple specimen of Eldredgeops from New York.
