Here is a very nice specimen of Kainops raymondi from the Lower Devonian of Oklahoma. This trilobite is differentiated from Paciphacops by the larger number of lenses in the eyes. This specimen is quite large and nicely preserved. The bug is very 3-dimensional and exhibits fine detail. The granulose glabella is nicely displayed, and the large compound eyes of the trilobite are almost perfectly preserved. The thick-shelled, caramel-colored trilobite contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. The large bug is well showcased on the sculpted block of dense limestone. This is a very nice, complete example of this large-eyed Phacopid trilobite from the Haragan Formation.
