This is an unusual trilobite. It is a Crotalocephalina sp. from Morocco. This type differes from a Crotalocephalus in that it has a less-bulbous nose and the tailspines are longer and needle-like. This specimen has the entire tail with all the long tailspines free-standing. The large matrix block makes a beautiful natural base for the trilobite.
This trilobite is the result of hours of preparation under a microscope. It is a very collectible example of this uncommon type of trilobite.
