This is a very interesting trilobite from the Devonian of Oklahoma. The trilobite is a very detailed example of Kainops raymondi. This type of trilobite is differentiated from Paciphacops by the larger number of lenses in the eyes. The inflated bug is complete and well preserved in an enrolled position. The fossil has excellent color and contrast and is nicely showcased on the sculpted block of matrix - natural, not composited. This is a very fine specimen of an enrolled Kainops from the Haragan Formation.
