This is an extremely rare Oklahoma trilobite. It is a prone Dicranurus hamatus elegantus from the Eugene Thomas Collection. This type is one of the most sought-after trilobites from Oklahoma. Dicranurus is one of the hardest Oklahoma trilobites to find complete - usually the free cheeks and tail are missing, but this one has them preserved. The large bug is very well articulated and was prepared with the ''Ram's Horns'' free-standing for optimal display. The body spines are also long and very easily seen. The trilobite is sort of laying on its left side, which makes for a cool display. This is a nice, large, complete specimen of probably the most famous trilobite from Oklahoma.
