This is a decent example of an unusual US trilobite. It is a large Anataphrus vigilans from Iowa. This specimen was recently acquired from an OLD collection. This partially-enrolled trilobite is very 3-dimensional and exhibits fine detail. The caramel-colored exoskeleton of the trilobite is well displayed (some shell is missing from the back side). And the old label is included, where the bug is called "Vogdesia", an obsolete name!. This is a cool example of Anataphrus vigilans from Iowa.
