This is a nice, prone specimen of Kainops raymondi from the Lower Devonian of Oklahoma. This trilobite is differentiated from Paciphacops by the larger number of lenses in the eyes. This specimen is large and very inflated. The bug is very 3-dimensional and exhibits fine detail. The granulose glabella is nicely displayed. The thick-shelled, caramel-colored trilobite contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. The distinct bug is well showcased on the block of limestone. This is a nice, prone example of this large-eyed Phacopid trilobite from the Haragan Formation.
