This is a complete specimen of Kainops raymondi from the Lower Devonian of Oklahoma. This trilobite is differentiated from Paciphacops by the larger number of lenses in the eyes. This specimen is decently large and nicely preserved. The bug is very 3-dimensional and exhibits fine detail. The granulose glabella is nicely displayed, and the compound eyes of the trilobite are quite evident. The thick-shelled, caramel-colored trilobite contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. The complete bug is well presented on the block of sculpted limestone. This is a very 3-D example of this large-eyed Phacopid trilobite from the Haragan Formation.
