This is a very rare trilobite fossil. It is a distinct Oryctocephalus reynoldsi from the famous Burgess Shale locality. This specimen is from an OLD collection, and was found DECADES ago. This trilobite has excellent detail preserved, which is very easily seen. The bug exhibits the paired pits on the glabella, which is one of the main features of this type. The trilobite is well displayed, showcased on the natural plate of shale. This is a fine specimen for someone who wants a nice example of one of the rarest trilobites from the classic Burgess Shale.
