This is an extremely rare trilobite. This is a large Gabriceraurus mifflinensis from the Platteville Formation of Wisconsin. This specimen was recently acquired from a major midwest trilobite collector. The Gabriceraurus is nicely outstretched, which is unusual for this type. The bug is somewhat inflated and 3-D and has good detail preserved. The colorful trilobite is well displayed on the large, rectangular block of limestone. This is one of only a handful of nice, prone Gabriceraurus mifflinensis from Wisconsin ever found.
