This is a very unique multiple trilobite specimen from the Ordovician of Russia. The matrix block contains an excellent enrolled specimen of Pliomera fischeri (left) and also an enrolled Nileus sp. (right). Both trilobites are well articulated. It is interesting to note the difference in the size of the eyes of the two specimens. Pliomera has very small eyes, while Nileus has extremely large eyes. The trilobites have great color and contrast with the matrix. In addition to the trilobites, there are two brachiopods present on the plate. This is a very interesting plate of fossils from the Ordovician of Russia.
