Here is a very desirable US trilobite. This is Huntoniatonia (Huntonia) oklahomae from the Lower Devonian of Oklahoma. This specimen was found by Eugene Thomas in 2003. Both free cheeks are present, and the large compound eyes are easily seen. The distinct bug exhibits fine detail - the thick shell exoskeleton is clearly defined. The caramel-colored trilobite contrasts nicely with the light-colored matrix. The fossil is well showcased on the block of limestone. This is a nice, large example of a classic Huntonia from the Haragan Formation.
