Here is a fine example of a rare Canadian trilobite. This is Ceraurinus marginatus from the Ordovician Layers of Ontario, Canada. This specimen was acquired from the Eugene Thomas Collection. Ceraurinus is much rarer than Ceraurus from these layers. The bug is nicely articulated - aesthetically prone and outstretched. The bug is somewhat inflated and exhibits nice detail. The trilobite has very good color and contrast, and is well displayed on the squared block of limestone. This is a very distinct example of this highly uncommon Cheirurid trilobite from a major collection.
