This is an uncommon US trilobite. It is a complete Viaphacops bomifrons from the Bois d'Arc Formation of Oklahoma. This trilobite is extremely inflated and wonderfully articulated (tail is hard to see in photo). The trilobite is well preserved and exhibits great detail. The pustules on the large glabella are clearly defined, and the protruding eyes are easily seen. The thick, caramel-colored exoskeleton of the bug contrasts strikingly with the cream-colored matrix. The trilobite is beautifully presented on the large plate of sculpted limestone. This is a collectible specimen of this hard-to-find trilobite from the Lower Devonian of Oklahoma.
