Here is an excellent specimen of Reedops deckeri from the Lower Devonian of Oklahoma. This specimen was acquired directly from the late Eugene Thomas' Collection. This Phacopid trilobite is wonderfully inflated and almost perfectly prone, which is quite unusual. The trilobite has great detail - the very fine pustules on the entire exoskeleton are still intact. The large compound eyes are well preserved, and the individual lenses of the eyes are FULLY COMPLETE and easily seen. The bug has great color and contrast and is well showcased on the sculpted block of dense limestone. This is a beautiful and collectible example of an outstretched Reedops from Oklahoma.
