Here is a nice specimen of Ceraurus sp. from the Ordovician of Canada. This type of Ceraurus has a very wide body and somewhat shorter genal and pygidial spines. This prone trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits fine detail. The individual thoracic segments are clearly defined. The arching genal spines and the pygidial spines are intact. The trilobite is well presented on the natural plate of shaley limestone. This is a very good example of one of the most popular trilobites among collectors.
