This is a fine specimen of Olenellus gilberti from the Lower Cambrian of Nevada. The long, crescent-shaped eyes are quite visible, and the large cephalon is easily seen. The detail on the body of the trilobite is excellent. The bug has beautiful, natural coloration, which contrasts well with the color of the matrix. The frilobite displays well on the large, natural plate of shale. This is a very nice specimen of Olenellus gilberti from the Western US.
