Most of the Russian trilobites that you see are from the Middle Ordovician. Here is a very unusual trilobite from the Lower Ordovician of Russia. This is a rare specimen of Estoniops panderi. The specimen is outstretched and well articulated. The trilobite is 3-dimensional and displays fine detail. The eyes are quite prominent. The trilobite has nice color and contrast. The fossil is resting near one corner of a limestone block that is approximately 2.7" X 3.1". This is a fine example of this rare trilobite from Russia.
