This is an extremely unusual Upper Cambrian trilobite. It is a Pterocephalia from British Columbia, Canada. This specimen may be a new species, as it looks slightly different than the Pterocephalia norfordi found at the same location. This type has a large, fan-like tail. The eyes and glabella are small and close together. This bug was found in a concretion, so the detail preserved is quite nice. This is a very fine example of this uncommon Upper Cambrian trilobite from Canada.
