This is an excellent US trilobite. It is a highly uncommon Viaphacops sp. from the Bois d'Arc Formation of Oklahoma. This trilobite is EXTREMELY inflated and wonderfully articulated. The trilobite is well preserved and exhibits great detail. The pustules on the large glabella are clearly defined, and the small, protruding eyes are easily seen. The thick, caramel-colored exoskeleton of the bug contrasts strikingly with the cream-colored matrix. The trilobite is beautifully showcased on the nice plate of sculpted limestone. This is a gorgeous specimen of this hard-to-find trilobite from the Lower Devonian of Oklahoma.
