Here is a very unusual specimen of Paciphacops campbelli from the Lower Devonian of Oklahoma. This trilobite is differentiated from Kainops by the fewer number of lenses in the eyes. This specimen is outstretched and nicely preserved - the tail is somewhat curled, but present. The bug is very inflated and exhibits fine detail. The thick-shelled, caramel-colored trilobite contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. The Paci is well showcased on the natural plate of matrix that also contains a large, partial Dicranurus trilobite. This is a very unusual association of Paciphacops and spiny Dicranurus trilobites.
