Here is a very unusual trilobite. This is Ctenocephalus sp. from the Ordovician of Morocco. This type of trilobite has extremely long genal spines that extend past the pygidium - very few trilobites have genal spines this long! The tall eye mounds are also easily seen. This detailed specimen is nicely articulated. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The natural, limonitic, orange coloration is quite striking. This is a nice, complete specimen of a highly uncommon Ctenocephalus from the Ordovician of Morocco.
