Here is a classic US trilobite. This is a large Huntoniatonia (Huntonia) oklahomae from the Haragan Formation of Oklahoma. This trilobite was prepared in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab this year. This 3-dimensional bug is wonderfully outstretched and exhibits very fine detail. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached, which is quite unusual. The inflated, protruding eyes are easily seen, and the long, wide genal spines are beautifully displayed. The arthropod has excellent color and contrast and is wonderfully showcased on the large block of marlstone. This is a large (almost three inches long), complete specimen of this highly sought-after trilobite from Oklahoma.
