This is an impressive Lower Cambrian trilobite. It is a large Olenellus thompsoni from Pennsylvania. This specimen came from an old collection - it was found over 20 years ago in East Petersburg, not the more common Fruitville Quarry site. This specimen has excellent detail preserved. The natural coloration of the fossil is just fabulous. The inflated bug is very well showcased on the large, squared matrix plate. This is an very collectible example of this famous Lower Cambrian trilobite from Pennsylvania.
