This is a phenominal example of a classic Lower Cambrian trilobite. It is a fabulous Olenellus thompsoni from Pennsylvania. This large specimen came from an old collection - it was found over 20 years ago in East Petersburg, not the more common Fruitville Quarry site. This specimen has excellent detail preserved, and the natural coloration of the fossil is quite cool. The complete bug has the long telson intact and easily seen. The large trilobite is very well showcased on the squared matrix plate. This is an extremely collectible example of this famous Lower Cambrian trilobite from East Petersburg, Pennsylvania.
