This is one big-eyed bug! It is a complete Coltraneia oufatenensis from the Devonian of Morocco. One glance will tell you what this trilobite is famous for - the huge compound eyes that are elevated above the glabella. This trilobite must have been able to see almost 360 degrees! The large eyes preserve the individual lenses in very fine condition. The trilobite is very 3-D and extremely inflated. This wonderfully articulated specimen has striking, dark brown-black color and contrasts beautifully with the sculpted grey matrix. This is a very nice example of one of the most sought-after non-spiny trilobites from Morocco.
