This is an excellent example of a very rare trilobite. This is a very cool Paedeumias transitans from the Lower Cambrian of Pennsylvania. This large specimen (1.6" long) came from an old collection - it was found over 20 years ago at the now-closed Fruitville Quarry site. The trilobite is complete, with the long tailspine intact but partially covered. This specimen has great detail preserved and fabulous natural color - classic Kinzers reds and yellows! And the counterpart is present - a fine split pair fossil (not pictured). This is a very collectible example of a complete Paedeumias transitans from Pennsylvania.
