This is a fine specimen of Dalmanites limulurus from the Silurian of New York. The trilobite has good color and contrast. It is well positioned on a rounded slab of shale. The specimen is nicely articulated and exhibits fine detail. The individual facets of the eyes are readily observable. The long genal spines and the caudal spine are all present. This is a nice example of Dalmanites from the Rochester Shale.
