Here is a nice specimen of Piochaspis from the Middle Cambrian of Nevada. We acquired this particular bug from a collector who said it was a new species from a secret locality. This specimen is very nicely articulated and exhibits fine detail. The free cheeks are present and tightly attached. The outwardly flaring genal spines are nicely displayed. The eyes of the bug are easily seen. The trilobite is nicely centered on the long plate of matrix. This is a very collectible specimen of Piochaspis that may be a new species.
