This is a beautiful example of Maurotarion axitiosum from the Bois d'Arc Formation of Oklahoma. The trilobite is very robust and well articulated. The specimen exhibits very fine detail. The eyes are quite prominent and the long genal spines are nicely displayed. Both free cheeks are tightly articulated on this specimen. The trilobite has good brownish color and contrasts well with the cream-colored matrix. This is a great specimen of this Lower Devonian trilobite.
