This is a classic Lower Cambrian trilobite. It is a nice Olenellus thompsoni from Pennsylvania. This specimen came from an old collection - it was found over 20 years ago in East Petersburg, not the more common Fruitville Quarry site. This specimen has very good detail preserved. The natural coloration of the fossil is just fabulous. The bug is almost perfectly centered on the large, squared matrix plate. This is an excellent example of this famous Lower Cambrian trilobite from Pennsylvania.
