This is a very ornate Russian trilobite. It is an excellent Hoplolichoides furcifer from St. Petersburg, Russia. This is one of the rarer and more sought-after types of trilobites from Russia, and it is a beauty! The bug is fully complete, wonderfully articulated, and nicely displayed. The Hoplolichoides has been prepared with the horns and body spines free-standing. The thick shell exoskeleton is covered with large pustules and tiny spines. The trilobite seems to be crawling across the sculpted matrix plate. This is a collectible specimen of this rare Russian Lichid trilobite.
