Here is a fine specimen of Kainops raymondi from the Lower Devonian of Oklahoma. This trilobite is differentiated from Paciphacops by the larger number of lenses in the eyes. This specimen is prone and nicely preserved. The bug is very 3-dimensional and exhibits fine detail - the granulose glabella is nicely displayed. The thick-shelled, caramel-colored trilobite contrasts wonderfully with the light-colored matrix. The bug is well presented on the large block of limestone. This is a very nice example of this large-eyed Phacopid trilobite preserved on a large block of matrix.
