Here is a nice example of Kainops raymondi. This specimen is from the Lower Devonian of Oklahoma. This trilobite is differentiated from Paciphacops by the larger number of lenses in the eyes. This complete specimen is semi-curled and wonderfully articulated. The bug is very 3-dimensional and exhibits very good detail. The pustulose glabella is nicely displayed, and the compound eyes of the trilobite are quite evident. The natural, caramel brown color of the trilobite contrasts nicely with the cream-colored matrix. The specimen is well showcased on the very large limestone block. This is a very fine Kainops raymondi from the Haragan Formation.
