This is a very nice trilobite. It is a beautiful Metacanthina issoumourensis from the Devonian of Morocco. This distinct trilobite has been meticulously prepared under a microscope in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab here in Colorado. The 3-dimensional bug is nicely articulated and exhibits very fine detail The pointed snout is intact and has been prepared in a free standing manner. The dark, chocolate-brown trilobite contrasts beautifully with the light-brown matrix. The fossil is wonderfully showcased on the large, sculpted block of limestone. This is one of the largest specimens of Asteropyge that we have ever prepared
