Here is a fine specimen of a classic US trilobite. It is a large, complete Sthenarocalymene celebra from the Silurian of Illinois. The trilobite is well preserved in an outstretched position and exhibits fine detail. The bug is extremely inflated and nicely articulated. The free cheeks are present, and the individual thoracic segments are easily seen. The bug has great white color and is well presented on the small dolomitic block. This is a very nice example of a complete Sthenarocalymene from Illinois.
