Here is a nice specimen of Cheirurus (Crotalocephalina) gibbus from the Devonian of Morocco. This large trilobite is extremely 3-dimensional and nicely preserved. The bug is outstretched and exhibits good detail. The small eyes are quite distinct, and the short genal spines are easily seen. The triangular pleurons terminate into points, and the pygidial spines are clearly defined and prepared free-standing. The trilobite has unique, natural coloration and contrasts nicely with the lighter-colored matrix. The bug is well presented on the block of sculpted limestone. This is a very nice-for-the-price example of this odd-looking trilobite from Morocco.
