This is a fabulous example of Reedops cephalotes hamlagdadianus from the Devonian of Morocco. Reedops are very under-appreciated because they look so much like the more common Phacops. This trilobite is very well preserved in an outstretched, prone position. The 3-dimensional bug is wonderfully articulated and exhibits very fine detail. The ancient arthropod has great natural color and contrast and is wonderfully showcased on the natural-edged block of sculpted limestone. This is a phenominal example of Reedops cephalotes hamlagdadianus that displays beautifully.
