This is a spectacular DOUBLE example of a classic trilobite. It is a beautiful pair of Greenops widderensis from Arkona, Ontario, Canada. This specimen was recently acquired from a major fossil collector. Both trilobites are outstretched and perfectly articulated, which is extremely unusual. The prone bugs are wonderfully inflated and very well preserved. The natural color is excellent, and the detail is exquisite - the eye facets are even preserved on both specimens! The fossils are naturally showcased on the large, natural matrix block - no compositing! This is a top quality, super displayable pair of Canadian trilobites from a long-closed site - this piece is practically irreplaceable.
