This is a beautiful pair of Mrakibina cattoi from the Devonian of Morocco. This specimen was meticulously prepared under a microscope here in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab. This unusual type of trilobite has very small eyes, extremely long, wide genal spines, and many long pygidial spines - all of these features are clearly defined and well displayed on both specimens. The tiny eyes are easily seen, and the pointed pygidial lappets are all intact. The trilobites have excellent color and contrast and are wonderfully showcased on the expertly sculpted plate of dense limestone. This is a very collectible, natural double example of this uncommon trilobite from the Atlas Mountains.
