This is a very collectible US trilobite. It is a complete Zacanthoides typicalis from Nevada. This specimen has both of the features that are almost impossible to find in this type of trilobite - the free cheeks and the axial spine. This bug has both free cheeks tight - both metagenal spines are even preserved. The long axial spine is intact and well exposed. And the bug is nicely centered on the squared matrix plate. This is one of the best and most complete examples of this type we have ever seen. It is a beautiful specimen of this hard-to-find Cambrian trilobite.
