This is a very large Elrathia kingi from the Middle Cambrian of Utah. Specimens of this trilobite were drilled by Native Americans for adornment purposes and have been found hundreds of miles away from the site. Most examples of Elrathia are well under one inch long.This specimen has been professionally air abraided, exposing it from the surrounding rock. This fine trilobite is complete and nicely articulated. Both free cheeks are present and tightly attached. And at over one and a half inches long, it is a very large example to be this nice. This is a very large, top quality example of the classic trilobite, Elrathia kingi.
