This is classic spiny trilobite. It is a prone Kettneraspis williamsi from Oklahoma. This specimen was found by Steve Hess in 1998 on our private lease. This trilobite is has both free cheeks intact - the fringes of the free cheeks easily seen. The hypostoma (mouthplate) is intact and preserved in life position, which is quite unusual. This is a distinct specimen of Kettneraspis williamsi with hypostoma present.
