Here is a fine specimen of a ''classic'' US trilobite. It is a complete Sthenarocalymene celebra from the Silurian of Illinois. The trilobite is well preserved in an outstretched position and exhibits fine detail. The bug is extremely inflated and nicely articulated. The free cheeks are present, and the individual thoracic segments are easily seen. The bug has good color and contrast and is well presented on the large dolomitic block. This is a nice example of a complete Sthenarocalymene from Illinois.
