This is a beautiful Gerastos granulosus from the Devonian of Morocco. This trilobite is wonderfully articulated and exhibits very fine detail. Both free cheeks are intact and tightly attached. The pustulose nature of the large glabella is quite evident, and the eyes are easily seen. The black color of the bug contrasts wonderfully with the light-grey matrix. The fossil is well showcased on the sculpted block of dense limestone. This is an excellent example of Gerastos granulosus from the Atlas Mountains.
