This is a spectacular plate of trilobites from the Devonian of Morocco. This specimen was meticulously prepared in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab here in Colorado. An extremely 3-dimensional Morocconites is displayed on the block of limestone. This trilobite is well articulated and exhibits excellent detail. The ''Unicorn'' spine on the head has been prepared in a free-standing manner. A complete Scabriscutellum is also preserved on the plate. This trilobite is unusually prone, and the fine detail of the trilobite is clearly defined. The bugs have great natural color and contrast beautifully with the sculpted grey matrix. And best of all, the trilobites are completely natural to the plate - they have not been composited or altered! This is a beautifully-prepared example of a very rare association of trilobite species.
