This is a fabulous Middle Cambrian trilobite. It is a beautiful split pair Asaphiscus wheeleri from Utah. This specimen was found by Steve Hess in 2008. The trilobite is large and very nicely articulated. The trilobite is wonderfully centered on a very large matrix plate. And a cool feature is that Steve saved the counterpart of the trilobite - both are offered here together. This is a textbook example of an unusual split pair Asaphiscus from Utah.
