This is a great example of a rare Utah trilobite. This is Bathyuriscus elegans from the Marjum Formation of Utah. This specimen is from a MAJOR trilobite collection. This trilobite is very large and nicely displayed. The bug is outstretched and exhibits extremely fine detail. The large tail is easily seen, and the segmentation is clearly defined. Although the one free cheek is disarticulated, it is still present and well displayed on the plate. The trilobite is nicely showcased on the semi-squared plate of shale. This is a fabulous example of classic trilobite from Utah.
